Count of years in H1 career –reg

Hi
Can anyone please help me in my case?

I got my I797 during the year 2007 form an employer X and its
validity was upto September – 2010.

I got my H1b Visa stamping on my passport during September- 2007 and
its validity was also upto September – 2010.I did not move to US
with that I797

I got another I797 through employer Y during 2008 while I was in
India and it expires on Aug -2011.

I entered US for the first time during March 2009 and got I94 which
is valid till August-2011 by showing employer Y - I797

Now my question is whether am I in the second year of my H1 career or
in the 4th year of my H1 career?

I need your help,please since I have to start my GC process.

Only the time spent in U.S on the H1B status will count against your 6 year term.
